Aleppo suffers from lack of services and infrastructure.  This is due to the followings:

• Delay in the provision of urban services in previous years

• Migration from rural areas to the city

• Increasing population size and economic and social activities

• Poor financing of infrastructure services

• Unqualified human resources

• Stringent laws and procedural regulations
