On the second of February 2010, Aleppo City Council and the (SEBC) Syrian Enterprise & Business Centre have signed together a Cooperation Agreement to implement the program (SKILLS). This program aims at training young men and women living in the informal settlements, provides them with professional skills and enables those finding good professions, the program will encourage their participation in the development process and this will reflect positively on the living conditions in the chosen areas.
This agreement comes within the new vision of Aleppo City “ Madinatona”
According to Dr. Al-Chibli the development strategy for the city of Aleppo commenced in 2005 in coordination with the GTZ - German Agency for Technical Cooperation and the Cities Alliance and the work began in September 2008.
