On Thursday 18th of February 2010, the City of Aleppo - Directorate of the Old City  in cooperation with the Directorate of Education, launched the cultural and awareness event “Heritage Ambassador “.
The “Heritage Ambassador ", aims to inform children about the importance of the old city and its valuable heritage, then they can contribute themselves to disseminate the knowledge and deliver the gained information to their friends and families.
The event contains two main activities, the first one is the reading and the discussions concerning the book “the preserved heritage” , The second activity is a photographic campaign.
30 children from 6 different schools, ages between 8-12 years old are participating in this event, in addition to children with special needs.
The artist Issa Touma is providing children with knowledge about photography, a photographic exhibition will be held in Shibani school later.
