Aleppo City Development Strategy (CDS) sub-component is a joint effort between the Cities Alliance Program (CA) at the World Bank, the German Development Cooperation (GTZ), and the Municipality of Aleppo. 

This joint effort focuses on producing an action plan, developed through participation, and aims at:

• Developing the local economy
• Improving urban services delivery and disaster management
• Protecting the urban environment
• Enhancing the urban spatial development
• Modernizing urban and financial administration
