Under the framework of the program for sustainable urban development in Syria , the German Technical Cooperation gtz and the Directorate of the Old City are organizing a workshop entitled "The Future of the French wall / Bab Antakya" on the 16th of March 2009 at Madrassat Seif Al Dawlah (the Directorate of the Old City) - the wooden chamber. 
International and local experts will discuss together the problems appeared after discovering parts of the ancient wall, located in the western part next to Bab Antakya and it is known as “ the French wall”.
The workshop aims to find the best solution based on the previous studies and analysis done by the project itself.
